For years, Joe and Ronda dreamed of creating their own residential rehabbing business, but didn’t know how it would work. With Joe’s history of owning businesses, managing other people’s businesses and working his way through college doing construction and Ronda’s background as a registered nurse and being in a profession of helping and managing others, this made sense. Joe and Ronda both knew they had to start somewhere and owning their own business was the way to go – so they jumped right in and decided to make their dream a reality. The business was started with the help of their partners, Pete and Garrett, who have built many custom homes and together, we all have over 60 combined years of rehab and construction experience.

With a goal to work together in renovating properties and doing what they love, Joe and Ronda desired to share their passion of rehabbing with others. As they began to develop the company and carve their niche in the big world, they quickly realized that there was a distinct need for certain services they originally did not foresee. So they decided to create a company – where in collaboration with one another, they would offer services under one large umbrella, known as “1 Home At A Time”.

THEIR PARTNERS

Pete Black – Has been in the building industry since graduating High School in 1976 giving him over 40 years of experience. He is also proficient in many areas of the building field: roofing, siding, decks, along with doors/windows.

Garrett Black – Was a four year student athlete at Indiana Institute of Technology where he graduated with a degree in Bachelor’s of Science Business Administration. Has been working with his father gaining experience in the building industry since 2008 when he was a sophomore in High School.
